Money spent: hrmmm.... With my Sony, all the extra lenses, tripods, memory, batteries, filters - and bearing in mind I got the Sony DSC F707 5Mp camera when 2Mp was the norm - about $5k.

As of a week ago, Canon 30D, currently only a baby "stock" 18-55mm lens, batteries, memory, bag - nearly $3k so far... with alot more to spend on freaken lenses! :(

All of my photographs are also unedited (apart from cropping if required).

HotAe92, I am using a Nikon D70s with 18-70mm lens, 70-300mm lens, Tripod, 512mb memory card and bag. I have spent around $2700.00 so far.

taken yesterday hanging out of clints car window in teh maccas drivethru...

came out pretty good

Just using a Nikon D50 with 18-55mm lens, 1gig SD Card and "sports mode" for these shots.

At nighttime i use a tripod and no flash, settings vary between what im trying to shoot.

still learning but you get that :) prolly spent about 2k on stuff for my camera so far, which is a bit sad considering my camera is about $500 cheaper since when i bought it in jan :(

Unfortuantely due to a number of circumstances, the number of shots taken were very low and was a very rushed job (Which shows). Lots of lessons were learnt from this shoot, which will hopefully make round 5 late this month / early next month much better than any of the shoots so far.

I have noticed that the point and shoot camera's these days are delivering very high quality photos giving some of the basic SLR cameras a run for their money!

Like most countries in Eastern Europe, it is very much so.....mostly unbastardised by heavy industry and huge populations, it can retain much of its natural beauty.

Of course, the big cities are the same as everywhere else though..

i thought Europe in general is beautiful joe - even the architecture has so much history and culture behind it....from the big cities to the small...i think Europe in general would be a really lovely place to live...and imagine doing road trips from London to France or driving to switzerland to italy! ala top gear! it would be cool to go to uni there...and take mad roadtrips on exceptional drugs.

i cant see them, but The Palm is to the right of the photo (Palm Jumeirah, Palm Deira) and Palm Jebel Ali is all the way to the left - u can see them from the top of the Burj.

The World is top right but u wouldnt be able to see it from that angle...

after removing a paper wasp nest from the backyard i found this 'cocoon' near the front door. Did some research before getting rid of it and apparently its a 'mud' wasp which paralysis 3 spiders to put into the nest and lays an egg, then seals it shut.

So im thinking 'ok 3 aint too bad' and i go to remove it.
I find 8 spiders inside and 2 were still moving.. hate these things!

i think you're on the money there too. the lighting doesn't all add up. the beach is too bright, the lightning is too blue and the clouds colour changes too much. that and the chances of getting a lightning bolt like that at just the right moment are slim to **** all.

my guess, sand was one shot, fireworks another shot, lightning another shot. i think the commet was in the lightning shot though
