View Full Version : Ceramic pads for Brembos, who has them?

Looking for a set of Ceramic pads for the 04-07 Volvo S60R / V70R calipers.
Calipers are 4 pot front & rear.

Im hating the OEM pads which squeal like a bitch and leave shit loads of dust.

I can get many pads that claim to be ceramic
Most squeal like a bitch and many leave dust

Get off the "ceramic" catch cry and tell me what you actually want and the intended use , weight etc of the vehicle :)

My OEM pads/brakes squeal like bitches - regardless of how much I clean them.
I am using Powerslot slotted rotors.

I know of many people using Hawk HPS and Akebono ceramic pads all with great reviews.
I want pads that emit very little dust but maintain stopping power.

The way you drive your wagon, a set of normal "genral duty" pads will do.
No need for "track" pads, and they are more likely to be dusty etc. too.

Order a set of EBC Green stuff and be done with it ;)

grrrrrrrr.

Don't get me wrong, the OEM pads bite well and are great.
I might have to pull the calipers off again for another clean. All of this squealing came after that drive to Denmark and the 100km of dusty dirt roads :/

take the pads out
sand them down, remove all the grits.
but most likely will come back on again after awhile.

You shouldnt get any Squeal once the brakes are warmed or hot day i presumed?

Rear same as Lotus/ BA rear ?

Front I believe yes.
Rear, dont know about the others.

Front + rear are both 4 pot brembos 330 x 32 discs.
