The grand is a fine 4x4, head over to Ausjeepoffroad.com and register, us jeepers all hide there. id go with one of the trips organised up on there as there will be other people in similar cars you can follow.

You have a good car for driving on gravel roads, it's an SUV... Wrangler on the other hand would have been the choice if you wanted to play 4x4.

considered loosing the front bumper in place of an x-rox style bullbar? would make it look tuff as well as greatly increasing your angles of approach offroad without having to worry about smashing the bumper off. Personally id go for something like that even before the lift.

something like this:

can you go smaller than 18? offroad tyre choice in 17's is alot better, you want something with at least a bit of sidewall.

LOL and you tell him to get an xrox... worst bar ever made!

It's an SUV, if you want to go 4x4'ing don't buy an SUV... It's like taking a Range Rover Sport down to the beach

^^ you forgot the italics, from reviews i've heard they're pretty good off road for a independent suspended car, excellent traction control system, going down in wheel size is a good start, 17s would be better though, more sidewall and decent all terrains to be had, these have the height adjustable suspension?
if you can fit 17s with decent rubber over the standard brakes etc it will be good for most basic stuff.

I love how south slams the xrox every time someone mentions it.. They are a sensational product made by a Perth company and supplied for an awesome price and will take a 15000lb winch!!!. I have one on my car Ive hit a BIG ROO with mine on the right hand side full frontal impact at ~95 km per hour and it didnt even bend!

Last arb bar had to be extracted from car with chain and tree several times!

I vomit in my mouth every time I see an xrox bar, except for when they are fitted to a GQ. That is the only 4x4 they suit, period!
Yeh they are strong, but they are fucking hideous!

It's like taking a hot chick and putting a dick on her. It's just not cricket!

Lol I liked the Wrangler but to plain inside considering it will be street driven by the mrs 90% of the time all I need it for is on beach sand and light 4x4 tracks if I want to go full on I will buy a bunky.
It's the grand not the srt8 and not height adjustable so I can lift it
