Casual racing with a mix of Rally, Rallycross, Trailblazer, Head 2 Head, Landrush, Gymkhana and Party game modes.

To join:
- Send Playstation Network friend request to 'MGR'
- Post in this thread before 8:00pm requesting an invite (preferred method)
- or send a PSN message to 'MGR' requesting an invite to the Antilag lobby (alternative method)

Keep in mind that requesting an invite via PSN while we're already racing may result in a delayed invitation response.

Don't bother buying second hand, otherwise you'll need to pay for an 'online pass' from the Playstation Store for $13.00. New copies of the game include an unlock code for an online pass.

This looks like a nice change from the seriousness of GT5. I used to have some great fun on DIRT 2 few years back so I know how entertaining this can all be.

Personally I'm good for any of those nights mentioned.

I think giving it a start on the Thursdays is ok though as we know there's a core group already available and online that night. If we find we want more than an hour or so on that game, we could shift to another night or even cut down on the GT5 (e.g. just have one series in future and start it earlier even... Like 8:45 sharp)

Yep, rally would be my favourite event. Rally cross / Landrush can be awesome but also rage inducing.

I don't have it yet, but looks cheap enough now so I'll go out and get it, pretty much the only time I play my PS3 is on GT5 nights..

I'm ok for mon/tues/wed usually, fri/sun I woudn't be able to be definite, I'd rather/more likely to be available on sun over fri though. I'm also away for a month after the long weekend, so obviously wouldn't be playing until after then.

Go for it Mr Lock. Just be sure make sure your internet connections is as good as you can make it (i.e. don't be downloading torrents at the same time etc. sounds obvious but people do it :P)

Too bad so many missed out due to power disruptions.

I had some monumental stacks racing the trucks. Almost impossible to race wheel-to-wheel cleanly.

The outbreak mode is an interesting change. Didn't get a chance to run the cat'n mouse mode so we'll try that next session.

I plan on running another Dirt 3 room this Thursday night instead of GT5, and start a new GT5 series the following Thursday.

If people don't have a mic I'd recommend they jump out and buy one as you can't type stuff in Dirt3 like you can on GT5. Any Bluetooth one should do the trick, but even official Sony ones are cheap now... the old ones are nice; apparently the new ones aren't too comfortable.

Haha! Not sure your game plan of going punch-for-punch against the RS200 with the Mini was a great idea ;). Pretty sure Alex is not a fan of the RS200 either.

I had my iPhone setup infront of the tv but didn't get the race where MGR got stuck right on the finish line! I was watching the progress markers on the left of screen and seen the yellow mini stopped right at the end for about a minute hahaha devastated!

That ending was beautiful.
"You're not doing a very good job of holding me up" said MGR as I was hunting him down throughout the race. I managed to get to him at the end and force him into the buntings/barriers literally 1 meter before the finishing line and somehow he ended up stuck on top of my car and he couldn't move. "I'm holding you up pretty good now" I said under my breath. I had to wait 30 seconds for our mouse to come through and take the win, and all the while MGR was cursing his own team. "Where are they? Useless…! C'mon someone just smash me over the line."

So many funny moments last night. Although outbreak was giving me the shits, starting infected most of the time.

Holding the mini on the finish line was good. I was wondering who the other car was up front with me trying to wipe out the mini. One of us spun him out about 100m before it, I watched it get back going thinking it was all over, only to watch Alex pin him on the fence and myself to get stuck between the finish line and those 2.

Although thinking my playstation is having issues. On one of the cat/mouse, my bluetooth completely dropped out. Lost controller and headset. Controller came back after 10-15 seconds but headset didn't want to. Have had the same issue with GT5 while playing online.

G27 works fine with this game

The only minor point is if it isnt working in the game you have to turn off any other controllers by holding the PS button

Buried somewhere in the menus are a bunch of settings for adjusting steering, throttle and brake deadzones, sensitivity, FF, etc so you can get it feeling quite good

That cat/mouse race was bullshit! Was stuck with my wheels in the air for a good 30+ seconds. Cursing my teammates the whole time (who were probably doing a good job smashing the other mini like they're supposed too). So much raaaagggge!!!

Will setup the pass-through video capture device next time to get some gameplay footage seeing as you can't save replays. Will try to capture the chat as well but that'll require some additional hardware.

Just make sure that the wheel is setup as controller 1. Start the game with just the G27 plugged in and turn on other dual shock controllers once you're in the game. You don't need the dual shock unless you want to access the XMB (to check PSN messages etc).

What settings is everybody using for their Logitech wheels? Can't remember what the defaults are but these are my settings:

I don't recall the Force feedback settings making a massive difference but I think the steering linearity setting (2) made the most impact.
