gt2871r BB to non-bb

Is it possible to replace the ball bearing shit in a 2871r turbo to make it non ball bearing.

I have 2 x 2871's i pulled off my brothers VE and 1 has a lot of shaft play for a turbo with less than 10k km's on it.

Turbotech charge far too much just to fix, so fuck them, been there before with one of them allready.

or can someone recommend a shop to fix.

i believe the cores are pretty much a sealed unit (or not economical to repair)
Worth an email to http://www.digi-hardware.com/ to see what it'll cost to replace the core
