Hey guys,

Just wondering what steering wheel / pedal/ seat set ups you guys are using???

I have started with the fanatec 911 wheel but it is now useless as the pedals are not upgradeable to the clubsport types...

interested to know whether others are using the fanatec products or whether the g27 is the mainstream...

Playseat Alcantara, gear shifter holder and floor mat option (AL group buy). G25 wheel and pedals with DSD spacer for a 350mm Momo Race steering wheel, along with DSD extended wheel paddles.

Old photo prior to wiring cleanup and new paddles:

I went the budget setup. After picking up the G27 from Dick Smiths for $140, went to Bunning for some wood/screws and used an old car seat from a wreck I had. I have reverse mounted the pedals as I find it better on my ankles this way (work usually leaves them fucked).

It is cheap and nasty but it does the job for me, whole setup including wheel is less then $200. One day will get some metal and weld up something a bit better as well as a seat that is a bit more race orientated (this one is very comfy though).

^ nice work guys

I was making do with a G27 mounted on a $20 Officeworks folding table and camping chair

Chair was not real comfortable for any length of time and pedal angle wasn't great, finally got sick of it and bought a Playseat GT ( slightly different to NoogStar's). So much better than my old setup, the only thing that sucks is they don't come with a mount for the shifter and you have to pay extra for a seat-mount or a crappy wheel-mount that looks like it only goes on the right hand side (ie, wrong side)

A $2 piece of 5mm flat bar and some cutting and drilling and I made a mount that is better than their $70 one :)

Playseat alcantara, Xbox 360 wheel (shit), 40" LCD TV.

I want to at some stage buy that porshce wheel you can use for PC/360 since I don't want to buy a PS3. - http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=210&lang=

sweet... seems to be general consensus that the g27 wheel is the way to go...

I have just had so many issues with the fanatec 911 turbo wheel, and the standard pedals have just shit themselves....
