hi guys,

the 4g15t from the colt finally spat a rod when an experiment with sequential ignition went wrong due to a noisy trigger. i cant really be fucked putting another stock motor in as the 63 seems far better suited to producing good power. I need to check the pcd of the gearbox bolts to see if they Will come close to bolting up to the stock gearbox otherwise i might have to chuck another box in to suit. Does anyone have an evo 4g63 engine or gearbox laying around that i might be able to take some measurements from if possible or even a cad drawing etc?

cheers

ok awesome. Im assuming that except for the north south motors and 4b11 that the bolt pattern would be the same. would it be possible to come and have a measure up one day you are free?

Being someone with the knowledge you've got, won't he have to use a certain block for the engine mounts ? like some shells will take the evo block, but others will take the vr4 ?

VR4 1G 6bolt engine has roll stopper mounts on the block....where as the evo1,2 and 3 {2g] block doesn't...those mounts are on the bell housing.

both blocks are here...will chat about what is going to work best
