There was nothing "mini" about it.

I got awesome video footage of it coming from Dianella, through Morley and over the back to Baywater. All up, there is about 9 minutes of footage.

It will be on Channel 7 News tonight.

My shop is covered in debris from Dianella, which includes roof tiles, colourbond & asbestos sheeting and lots a tree sticks/leaves/branches.

BOM has now officially labelled it as a tornado.

Was fucking awesome!!!

I shot home at 1.30 after I heard about it, my house is 2-300m from where it went through, all good just got no power.

Roads were blocked everywhere and heaps of cops and emergency crew. Its like a line has been drawn through the area. We have council rubbish pick up at the moment, piles of rubbish and plants stacked everywhere all neat and tidy. 20 metres up the road its a war zone. Unreal

Yeah they said it was an F1 tornado, pretty cool to be honest. Glad no one was hurt.

F1 Moderate tornado 117-180 km/h winds

Perth design wind speed is ~150km/h

we should not have seen a lot of wind damage.

highest recorded wind speed in the world, Barrow island 406km/h (western Australia)

The wind design is for gust/s, not sustained 150kmh winds.

and not all swirling around like a tornado surely?

never said that it was not a peak gust < 3's

Blake,

tornadoes like cyclones move relatively slowly in relation to the ground but their internal wind speeds are high and this is what is measured.

in cyclonic regions wind direction is not considered due to this 'swirling' action.

Any ball bearings picked up and "fired" into any buildings yesterday?

stumps.
