Anyone able to source or know of a supplier locally of Poly Rod, I want it around 80mm diameter, can be slightly larger if need be by around 300mm, about 80 shore rating for hardness if possible.
Cheers

If its to rebuild an engine mount, dont use red nolothane... Shakes the absolute crap out of you.

Compared to the hard PVC one in there at moment, anything will be better!
But apparently 80 is a good compromise.

I'd go 70-75A if it's for an engine mount in a predominantly-daily vehicle; 80-85A if you're planning on doing a fair amount of track-work, and; 90-95A if it's a purpose-built track-car and you're still wanting to utilising polyurethane mounts (else solid metal mounts).
I've got 95A duro mounts in my TX3, and the engine does not move...literally. Chassis rails are more likely to flex and twist than the mounts flexing (maybe, lol).

Cheers, might look at the 70 for the daily then, 90 for the pig.

What size do you need Brett? I have some mounts here already made you might be able to make use of

80mm diameter by around 50mm thick, can be a slightly bigger diameter.

They are 50mm thick, but more like 70mm diameter. They also have an offset lug thing on one side , could probably cut it off no worries with a dremel/saw though.

Ah ok, no wuckers. What about pouring your own urethane? Just make up the moulds

Let me know how you go if you find any and price wise - I wouldnt mind making up some sleeves for MTB axles to use for tray mounted rack system :)

The didn't have the bee sting special in!
Anyway got a price on a 300mm length of 90 hardness stuff for $65, if it's too hard I will drill a few holes in it for flex.

Scored!
They didnt have what I needed, but they had a look around, got me a bit that was a bit softer, just a mispour, so slightly out at one end, but gave it to me for $20 !
Still have like a foot left :)
Car is so much nicer to drive now, but just as responsive.
