Smashed every piece of the car off on the way down. You'd thank your lucky stars you'd built a sturdy rollcage.

Testament to the engineers i reckon.

Apparently he crashed on the same corner last year, luckily to be alive let alone walk away from that

Hence why you use roll cages.

Driver didn't quite walk away. Pretty sure he got a broken foot. There was someone killed on that corner last year I believe :/

Isle of Man for 4 Wheels.
I tip my hat to these guys it would take balls of steel and cat like reflexes to do what they do!

Reminds me of Tony Floods off many years back in his GT4 ... it took almost 30 mins for the crews to find them they had flipped so far into the bush that they couldn't be seen from the road and from what I remember they lost 3 corners, doors and a bonnet. Just goes to show you don't have to be at Pike Peak to wreck that bad.

Think my car will have a cage before I do anything more than a skidpan/low speed event in it again

Spectacular crash, but I can understand how they didn't die.

When you think about it, there wasn't really a sudden impact, just rolled several times. It gradually washed off speed as it rolled to a stop, instead of say, hitting a tree and coming to a dead stop.

Yep, roll cage is great insurance. I don't regret sacrificing my rear seats for a second.
