I have a Toyota Soarer with a modified 1jz single turbo. I am wondering if
anyone knows of a person/workshop that has a dyno, and can service and repair/replace
anything if needed.I live in Mandurah, so south of the river would be handy, but I'll take it to where
I know they can do a proper job. Thanks in advance.

Correct, WTF auto is the best, but there's usually a 2 week or so wait to get in, and a bit slow with getting work done. Other than that, Tristan knows his stuff and knows all the parts needed to make a Toyota go hard!

Take it to mxracer at C-Red - if there is anything he doesnt know about 1jayssssssssss, then it doesnt need knowing.

A while back I Kept hitting walls as to why my car was coming onto to boost so late. Was asking around for ideas. One guy who owned a well known tuning store told me "its most likely cause I had oversized cams, and should pull the engine apart to verify." No shit...

Tristan had a step by step plan, went through eliminating possibilities and sorted it out easily. I found him to be very knowledgable which was refreshing after some of the crap I heard.

Yeah I went to itp and they had just packed up their dyno. Aaron seems like a good bloke though. Ended up going to T & R green for a tune.

Don't go to In Tune. Aaron rushed my tune. He did nothing over 4000rpm.Didn't ajust my idle or cold start. Did not properly install my boost controller (vacum hose hanging off and had no screws to fix the conroller so that was just floating around)......... Tristan was good at WTF or go to Rhodeside in Willetton(toyota specialists) for normal mechanical issues.94571776. Leith, the proprieter is so honest and won't steer you wrong.

So you are recommending AGAINST using Tristian as a tuner?

No as a tuner tristan seemed great! Only reason I didn't stick with him this time around was because he told me he had no experience in water/meth injection tuning. So i asked around and T & R green did and loves haltechs. I dont know if anyone has been there but the place is always full of race cars of various kinds. Speedway cars, rally, drag etc. the owners son who works there has a speedway car with a 2jz + Borg Warner single running 27psi on pure meth.

Although we found the nozzles that these American meth injection kits supply were so big in the end we couldn't even use the meth injection and just tuned to 18psi on pump. Had to order some smaller nozzles and will do one more round of tuning on Friday and see how 24-25psi goes.
