Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not i can use a radiator out of a 4.2TD & put it in a 2.8TD? The 2.8TD originally runs an overflow resovoir, but the 4.2TD doesn't have a resovoir or provision for one...

SSS offer the 4.2TD radiator for $250 & no longer make the 2.8TD ones, so trying to save a family member quite a few dollars if possible as genuine 2.8TD radiator is $500 plus.

Alternatively, do you know of anywhere else that offer an aftermarket radiator for the 2.8TD variant?

i reckon it's worthwhile paying for a genuine radiator, replaced the one in my old gq before i moved up here, can sit on highway speeds (or above) in 45C heat and it never gets even close to hot, only time it's started to heat up was when i was in soft sand and too lazy to air down, was working it hard cruising around, ended up airing down and temp went back to normal.
btw matty12 i think it is from here manages or owns natrad joondalup and he sorted me out for one, good bloke to deal with, taken a few of my cars to him now.

The RD28 will more than likely grenade itself within a few weeks, so not worth spending the extra! Haha
