Interesting, mixed feelings if true. I have to wonder when that was decided/signed and why would they let it slip today?
Just curious how the timing came about - obviously he didn't sign today. Well I guess he could, he had plenty of time standing around.
Maybe its been let slip rather than him wanting to

Andrew Benson doesn't believe it is confirmed. I won't believe it until i see it on www.markwebber.com.au I find it extremely odd for him to do a total 180 on his stance of not making career decisions so early in a season.
As much as id love to see Dan in a Redbull. I will be extremely sad to see Webber leave F1.
My gut feeling is that he would go to Lotus. Especially considering Eric Bouillier's comments in the past & Marks old Race engineer joined Lotus this year..
Just my 2 cents

Also that @GTPorsche handle is a magazine and not the official Porsche Le Mans Team.

Andrew Benson wouldn't know his arsehole from his elbow outside of F1.
I'm still not 100% convinced, but Lemans Radio, GT Porsche (although independent, obviously has decent sources) and Kate Walker all claim it's true. If it is true it would appear to be a slip up, not an intended reveal.

Auto Action reported 10 minutes ago that Porsche has denied signing anything with Mark Webber.

lol @ the amount of media sites jumping on bandwagon without any official confirmation.
However with that said, Mastechitz has been sprouting off recently about Raikkonen being a shoe in for Webber, if so where does that leave DR.
DR to Lotus, in a straight swap perhaps ?
Yeah seems as though a slip of tounge ignited this.
I still put money on Webber announcing this later in the year.

Kimi won't go to RBR.
RBR only pay a base salary and bonuses. Won't be enough cash for Kimi, and he won't want to play 2nd fiddle to Seb.
Besides, at the moment he's doing well in the Lotus. Has just as much chance of winning the title in the Lotus as the RBR.
Funnily enough Kimi said yesterday pretty much this
"I am not here for money - I would rather lots of spare time to do fun stuff, and I am not exactly broke"
5 million a year, 10 a year... either way you arnt stealing food from rubbish bins.

He seems to be doing a fair bit of endorsement for someone who isn't there for the cash

That's just Kimi BS though. If that was the case he would've been driving a McLaren instead of them signing Button, but the Robertson's put an end to it because of a lack of money.
He's definitely about the cash.
