Genuinely difficult. Trying to keep up with MGR ghost time is genuinely frustrating.

I will be moving house some time int eh next couple of months, aiming to make sure the new house has a (semi) dedicated room for setting up the cockpit again, and i can get back into this!

^^ This is my problem, I bought GT6 at the beginning of the year but have moved back in with parents since starting to build my house so have forced myself not to play it till I can get my wheel setup again. Hence not knowing about updates and other fun things.

I pulled GT6 out the other sat night to give it a whirl.

12gb of updates to download and install. with ps3's sh!t wifi connection took most of the night, was playing mario kart 8 on the wii u instead...

If you do, invest in Thrustmaster- it appears they will be supported for PS4 more heavily than other brands.

Anyone having problems with the 3rd or 4th 2gig update ? i've tried 6 times and keeps coming up with errors.

A new series is happening but the usual Thursday night is locked up for the next three weeks. (23rd No Limits / Mini Gymi, 30th Work commitments, 6th RallySprint)
Happy to run it on any of these evenings though. (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

The plan at this stage is to have each round consist of:

5x One-make sprint races
- Single make/model of car, unmodified. Everybody will need to buy this car beforehand.
- Each race approx 4-6 laps (depending one track length)
- Performance points handicaps apply to top five finisher in each race as before, however the handicaps will be slightly more progressive.
- Also, the top five cars from the previous round will START race one with a PP handicap. This handicap also applies to qualifying.
- Grid for race 1 determined by a short qualifying session. Grid for subsequent races by finishing order of previous race.
- As before; Boost (catchup) OFF. Slipstream set to WEAK.

1x Enduro race
- Single make/model race car from the 'courtesy car' list. You will not need to pre-purchase any vehicle for this.
- The car model will be made known, but the track will not be made known beforehand.
- Race length will be determined with a time limit (instead of laps). But estimated to be 15-20 laps.
- Short qualifying/practice session to determine grid.
- No tyre or pitstop limits. However tyre and fuel depletion will be set to 'FAST'
- Boost (catchup) LOW. Slipstream set to WEAK.

New Logitech G27 is about $300. There's a bunch of them on gumtree asking about $200. Including a near new set with box/packaging etc

The only wheel 100% supported on PS3/GT6 and the new PS4 is the Thrustmaster T300. Asking $700 new but can find for about $500.

The only manufacturer currently supported on PS4 is the Thrustmaster stuff. But that may change over time. I've still got an old G25 which does fine. But for my eventual upgrade I'm holding out for the Fanatec CSW V2 wheel picking up PS4 support.

Sean I've still got my G25 that I don't use since I upgraded to my Thrustmaster T500RS. If you think a G25 is an 'excellent' wheel/pedal combo, PM me for an excellent price! It's certainly fantastic value for money.

Whilst we're back on talking about GT6, how is everyone finding the Sierra course and 'checkpoint' style event?

Felt a bit Ridge Racer-ish but I like the idea of a long track broken down into stages.

OK, so it looks like Thursday is still the most preferred night so I'll just have to work around the RallySprints and No Limits events. Draft dates are:

November 13th, 20th, 27th and December 11th, 18th.

As Alex suggested I wouldn't mind running a test night or two. Possibly this one Sunday evening?

Change wheels and paint if you like, but that's it. Any other mods render the car ineligible.
