Just wanted to know if anyone on here has done much rust removal.

Im in the process of grinding/sanding the rust out of my boot, you can see in the pic that all the heavy stuff is gone, but i need to get rid of the smaller shit, and sanding just isn't getting to it enough. I'm sure it will come out eventually, but i'm loosing motivation as it is. Does anyone know if there is anything out there that will get into all the tight corners etc without costing me my left nut and first born child?

Also is there a product out there that will be able to thicken the metal in the boot a bit, the metal is a bit thinner now that the rust has been taken out and i'd like to make it a bit stronger if i can. dont know if bog will be good enough, and don't really want to use that much of it anyway.

cut it out put a new boot floor in.

As for cleaning whats there get a wire wheel on a drill and go over it all then brush some rust converter over it. Leave to dry 24hrs then etch primer.

Its not bad enough to need to put a whole new boot in, was just for piece of mind to thicken the boot floor, i can still sit in there comfortably without it bending. Thats mostly dust in the pic now, but ill grab some rust converter and give that a go.

thats the worst part in that pic. there is a little bit more on the other side of the boot, but nothing major.

Wire wheel on grinder.

Flap disc on grinder.

Clean up.

Paint with rust converter.

Then brush on POR15 (Or similar) nice and thick.

Order moulded boot carpet.

^ This man speaks the truth. If you actually want to get rid of it you MUST use rust converter.
