Anyone got anything working lying around that they dont need for cheap cheap?

Parentals has died, with time of year being bill city sans lube not keen to spend 400 bucks for a new one.

I got a push mower you can have for free.

Down side is you have to PUSH the pingpingpingping of a thing.

I know you're not keen on an expensive one - but if you ever come across a Scott Bonnar lawn mower - they are fantastic, the old man's hasn't missed a beat in over 15 years... it's a heavy one though on a roller not on wheels.

If you can sling it for $200 and a slab of piss you had laying around it would be a good buy pending it runs well.

Fek man just threw out a reel mower with Honda 4 stroke 2-3days ago. Worked ok.

As posted above, go to Belmont forum Sunday markets. Heaps there. Just get down early.

You chasing a 4 stroke/2 stroke/reel/Victa type thing? The old boy sells done up ones.... I'm sure I could organise something for $50.

Let me know what you want and I'll raise the question.

You are welcome to borrow mine as required until you save up and buy a new one.

Considering what I do for a living I could write a ballsac coffee spec essay on mowers but unless you are going to mow the lawn extremely regularly you want a rotary mower which is similar to the one you posted. Stay away from a reel mower at all costs. The running costs are significant if you want to maintain a premo finish.

Brendon - cheers. My old man does it every 2 or so weeks. One of the few things he refuses to give up even though he moans about it for days after.

Dan, doesnt want an electric one. Old wog stubborness - really appreciate it.

Bought same one 6-7 yrs ago for $89 and it's still working fine.

TJ, if you want to use it until you find something better it's yours, after just put it in a bin.

if anyone has mowers laying around they dont want, stuffed motor or body or still working but needs tlc let me know. old prick at work does them up and gives them to less fortunate people that cant afford to buy there own or hire a mower man. if there is enough available at one time him or me will drive up to perth to get them.

we got one given to us that GF's dad restored ~1960's 14" with briggs and Stratton motor, thing is awesome cos it powers itself along makes mowing the lawn easy. downside is u have to do it every weekend because they suck at longer lawn
