I know the previous owner of that wrx, he got a sticker driving to tafe for the door hinges..

Thing was a pig. Had massive amounts of gutter rash on the rims, leather interior was filthy, when the hinges were fitted the doorjams were scratched to shit, ugly graphics, thrashed bumpers and I'm pretty sure the spare in the boot was trimmed over with leather so if you got a flat you couldn't get to the spare tyre


He sold it for 5k after it was stickered haha he paid about 30 for it a few years before

Same thing happened with my bunky old GC8 last year, I wanted a quick sale so priced it accordingly, took $5000 from some bloke who thought he was getting the bargain of the century.

2 weeks later on Gumtree for $8000.

a couple of years ago I bought a bugeye wrx with 320k kms on it (with books/history).
i got it quite cheap, it was mech perfect & had a very good respray. a few months later i put a new set of rota's on it, got bored & sold it for what i paid for the car.

Obviously I am well aware of the many issues with performance cars, let alone GTRs.
I have owend a pulsar gtir, 02 sti, r33 gtst and a bunch of escorts and cortinas.
Trust me when i say i know the pain!

It is easy to pass judgement over the internet/hearse.

Car was inspected by Galvsport.
This inspection as you would guess was thorough.
I was presented with a list of minor issues (some i knew about)
I thoroughly chatted to josh about my options to rectify said issues.
I buy the car for a price i deemed fair given this information.

We worked out a rough price and the boys went to work.
Decided to go all out, remove engine and start fresh.

Found a ridiculous number of gremlins once engine was out, which were not able to be found in the inspection.
Costs increased substantially.

That is the full story.
If you can't deal with that, it will be the last I mention of my car. :)
