Chasing someone with decent alignment skills that can setup my missus car after I fit some coilovers this week. Don't want a typical Tyrepower 'pull to the left, right, whatever way it wants to go' spec shit job, want it to drive true. Not saying I won't use a Tyrepower if someone can recommend a decent one either...
Who do you use?

i use my mate at Pedders in Mandurah. All the cars I've had done there have felt great
I've always had Wilkinson Suspension do mine, and I've always been happy with it.

Would recommend WA Suspension, but I'm guessing it's the other end of Perth from where you are?
Wheels world in Osborne Park. The alignment guy isn't there full time though.

Don't mind travelling, will call around all suggested places & see who's available!
Cheers fellas

John is no longer there so god knows what is going on with the business.
I had Bob Jane in Vic Park do mine recently (out of convenience) and they did a great job. Glen the manager there is a car guy so understands the needs of a customer.
Otherwise, Wilko's or WA Sus.

This will rustle jimmies for sure. But I have had several bad experiences at Wilkos, wrong settings dialed in along with poor service. I gave them a few second chances with no luck. I am unsure how they are now 2-3 years later but I will still be weary.
Wheels World has never been the same since Bob passed away. Dean your best bet will be WA suspension.

Recently used Tech 9 in O'connor and they were pretty good.

I have had the same experience with Wilkos
I supplied them the setting I required ( as advised by Avon in the uk ) to get nothing like what I wanted
I now use Brent at Diffens in Maddington, he will listen and do anything you ask

Have had no issues at WA Suspension, and have had no issues at Bob Jane in Balcatta.
Would recommend both - WA Suspension for the more intricate stuff though.

I share the same sentiments, although my experiences were about 2-4 years ago i think?
Anyway, WA Suspensions has always gone the next step for me so that's my alignment of choice.

Sam - no rustling - that is your experience and you should be free to share it.

Yeah I just found that out when I went to book in for something. Do you know where John went? He was really good to deal with.

I had a bad experience at Wilkinsons as well. Firstly they told me my kit was a waste of time as the springs weren't any lower, even though they were different spring rates with different dampers.
Then they installed the front sway bar upside down. They told me sometimes these "internet kits" don't fit correctly and that's why it was clunking.
When I told him he was wrong he said they would have time to check it out in a week and if I was wrong they would charge me for the time. I went down there that day and the tech admitted he installed incorrectly and quickly switched it around.

John hasn't gone anywhere yet, left WW 4 weeks ago from memory.
Business looks to be fine without him, more of a franchise than before Bobs passing but looks to be competitive for me.

Dean at ww is a good guy but if John has gone he'll be sorely missed.
Fuck wilkos.. Took a loose arm in to have bush pressed out (left work and forgot to do one), they bent the arm and couldnt have cared less.

I take my car to ww. I have known dean when I was on the tools some 20 years ago.
Deans the man on the ground doing the grunt work and John was the office person.
Id still take my car there as they have a good set up.

I've had Shane at Tyreways Bentley work on my cars.
Very happy with his work on my road car and track car - also a car guy and local Motorsport competitor.

Lachy' from wa's is on here. Rod test drives wheel allignments and wouldnt give too shits about how much power your car has, he makes sure it drives straight and comes back - 100% trusted
Wa's hands down.
Im hoping Lachy will show rod this, as hes a bit upset at me parking shitbox's all over the place in his workshop.
WA Suspensions for sure. Quite often when i'm dropping cars off, I recognize Antilag cars in for work as well as other high quality imports and American and Aussie muscle. They come highly recommended!

Always look forward to a trip to WA Suspension, great cars there to check out and never any issues with the work. Sorted me for racewars and the car still drives nice and straight (500+km a week) even with the crappy roads I drive on.
Also get to borrow the power socket behind the TV for my dodgy laptop, sit in the comfy chairs surfing car forums and use their microwave to heat my lunch when I take it in for alignments during lunch break! :)

+1 for brent at diffens maddington. Have known him for years and years, he's right into his Japanese cars having built many himself and knows his shit.
Took the Evo to Wilkinson's to install my coilovers - 40mm height difference from left to right, rebound and camber all over the show!
I would have thrown them in myself if I knew they wouldn't set it up correctly.
Anyway, took the car to WA Suspensions, had one of the older gents their sort it out.. Felt like driving a different car once I got it back, drove straight, turned in 100% better, couldn't recommend them more highly.

+whatever for WA Suspensions. Have my work done there for last 10 years and Rod is the man
Bob Jane in balcatta is good too. Dave the owner is a top guy, works decent, price is what expected
*flamesuit on*
+whatever for bad experience at wilkos with a wheel alignment. mind you it was 6 or 7 years ago.
gave them a chance to make it better, said there was nothing wrong with it and its normal so not going to fix it....i never went back which was a shame coz i lost count how much money i spent on the VE at WA Suspensions LOL
as for WW, car club raved on about them. went and got some work done and was charged way more than i expected for a simple job

Can reccommend Shane from Tyreways Bentley highly... had done a lot of work on my commodore susp set up wise and alignment wise...
WA Suspensions highly reccommend them as well...
This one will ruffle feathers...
Malaga springs and Suspension... have had my skyline alignment done through them a number of times now and all adjustments have been spot on as asked and worked pretty well...
Never used to rate them that highly as they messed me around with my commodore back in the day... but they have done decent work recently on my skyline and always provided me with a print out of the settings.

I have used WA Suspension to buy a lot of parts and they have been great in that respect.
However, when I bought my Superpro adjustable camber and toe kit from them I also got them to fit it for me. This was the first time I had my car aligned by a different shop to my usual one. I got it back with as much negative camber as it had before the kit went in. When I questioned them they said that's the best they could do. I did a little more research about the amount of adjustment these bushes offered and decided it wasn't the best they could do so called them up and they offered to put it up on the aligner again and have another go. They tried again but still maintained that they couldn't get the camber corrected without sending the toe up shit creek. So I collected my car and went back to my usual aligner. Got a call an hour later and my camber was corrected and the toe was still at factory specs. WA Suspensions refunded me the cost of having it aligned by them which was great on their behalf.
In saying all that though, I think I would still give them another try if they were closer to my home/work. I have just put that experience down to them just having a bad day or a mind blank when they were setting the bushes.
