So who is jumping on board the new XBOX and grabbing Forza? Keen for some AL track days and drift sessions like the FM4 days. Keen for weekly challenges again, also. Can set up something a bit more structured once the modes are -announced.

For those that didn't see my other post, Bathurst is confirmed as being in the game. Cannot wait.

Bump up your pre orders to the limited edition. Not sure if only EB offer it but in my opinion it's well worth it. You get monthly free cars that you can usually sell for decent coin. VIP only races that also pay pretty well and there is VIP cars that you can only get by ordering it, not by DLC.

First impressions people?
Played for about 2 hours on a mates Xbone. Bit of a fucking around getting the install to go but once playing very impressed.

Didnt skip a beat and the frame rate was solid. The new controllers are cool but are never going to be as good as a quality steering wheel setup.

Hoping like fuck Fanatec work something out with M$ to support older wheels.

Graphic and sound wise the game is epic. There is so much shit that lets it down.


- The install to begin with
- The amount of cars + tracks significantly reduced ( no Nurburgring sucks the big one )
- Lack of burnout smoke
- Engine conversions dont have names so you have no idea what you are installing
- Serious lack of Aftermarket bits ( bonnets \ skirts etc ) as well as rims


I still love the game but something tells me GT6 will kill this ( not graphic wise due to PS3 ) but everything else.

if you read all the reviews and release info, the lack of tracks and cars was due to the better graphics and design of the game. some tracks and cars would have had to have been reworked and re-vamped and it would have set back the game release months. hence them releasing all the good shit as dlc (probably only 10% of the reason, other 90% is a $ grab). still very impressed. in a bombed r32 gtr on full noise with the volume right up, it actually sounds like it has gate...

Yes but did they actually re-do half of that shit? The R32 GTR still looks janky as for example. I was keen for this to begin with but the amount of stuff missing or just being plain outdated is hugely disappointing. And seriously, no Maple Valley (and Tsukuba and Suzuka etc.) for the inclusion of Yas Marina!? I can't believe they haven't even updated the list of rim upgrades after all these years! And not being able to drive all the cars in free play is straight up ridiculous. Stinks of them trying to get people to pay up for the Forza 'tokens' that they're pushing heavily.

It’s strange the gate noise dropped off, as in forza 1 you could definitely hear gate.

my only rant is the level of realism. EG i have a 34gtr with MAX upgrades and i am winning every race in R class i think it is (800-899 rating) so beating 458 italia racecars and aston,koenigsegg,hennessey cars. fyi i play on the difficulty that adds 20% to credits so i think its third from the top.

I went to 9th overall but slowly dwindled back to 70 something as more times rolled in. fine tuning to see how high i can get again.

Forza 5 was the main reason for me buying an Xbox One, however on release day I wasn't too impressed.

-507MB Update required before you could actually use the console.
- Couldn't connect to wired or wireless network.
- Update dropping out no less than 6 times.
- Forza 5 requiring a 6GB update (6GB, f*&king really) before you could play it, on top of the install.
- No tire slip/screech sounds until 3rd of 4th lap in an online race.

However, the game itself is great :)

what would players do if they had very minimal internet access (ie povo internet plan with 1gb data or the wireless usb plans) and they only intended to use the console mainly for offline play?
