Time to get a new set of pads for the Z.

Have been running PMu HC+ for the last couple of years, and before that DS2500's, but now thinking about trying Pagid RS 4-2's this time round.

Car has factory Brembos, weighs 1500kgish, and is lapping Barbs short at around the 60 flat mark on Federal RSR's. I'll be going back to R Comps once I find a few dollars.
Car doesn't see much street time these days, mainly a Nolimits mights, Midvale Speed Dome outings and hopefully some rally sprint stuff next year, so would like something that still has a bit of initial bite.

Thoughts, recommendations?

On the old EVO 8 used:

PMU HC+ good pad, struggled a bit after 4 hot laps of Barbs
APP pad in AP 6 pot kit, great pad, could do multiple laps of Barbs and no fade, good on the street
PMU Club Racer in AP 6 pots, same as above, very good pad, did a 53 short at Barbs and had nice initial bite on street
Pagid RS29 Alcon 6 pots on EVO 6, nice pad haven't tried it a Barbs yet but seems good at the RAC sprints, good initial bite on the street

RS19/29 is my choice these days.

RS4-4 as a minimum
RS14 or 19 would be a better choice

I thought I may of been looking a little 'soft' in my choices. Also been thinking about Carbotech XP10's after reading a few reviews. Anyone run them?

We run the endless on a tarmac evo x with 6 piston ap's. we need decent initial bite for obvious reasons. They are expensive. But they are a good thing.

Other option would be to ring greg over at brakes direct in qld and he can suggest something.

Carbotech™ XP10™

When Carbotech™ unleashed the XP10™ to the general public it was an instant success. XP10™ immediately gathered multiple regional, divisional, and national championships. The XP10™ has a very strong initial bite friction material with a coefficient of friction and rotor friendliness unmatched in the industry. Fade resistance is in excess of 1650°F (898°C). Due to the high level of friction and bite, this material is recommended for cars weighing around 2,900lbs or less. XP10™ still maintains the highly praised release, excellent modulation and rotor friendliness that have made all Carbotech™ compounds so successful. Carbotech™ XP10™ is not recommended as a daily-driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.

I use the PMU RC09 Club Racers in my ute for barbs (long track). I love them, great feel and they keep coming back for more even after pulling up 1700+kg down the hill.

Did have a fairly decent run out of using EBC Carbon ceramic rotors and yellow stuff pads inside wilwood FL6R
Fairly cheap / effective option.

Have a look around on the fastbrakes website.

Well I think it's down to the RC09's or the RS14's. Will have a hunt around for prices.
