Powercruise starts tomorrow morning at 8am.

There are a number of us from Antilag who are entered.

This thread can be used for general discussion, plus pictures and videos if you end up going for a look (or are entered!).



Personally, I can't wait. Considering I can't really have much fun at Racewars (all of us organising it end up too busy to do anything) this is probably the most fun event of the year for me.

Its a common thing on launches. From memory they changed it from my2011 onwards so the current one is an option. Tmr do a ring that goes around it to stop it from swelling. From memory that is about $250 or the metal homologated ralliart one is about $1500....

It's the first event the cars ever done do it's got some teething issues. I spoke with him after he got towed and he had some fuel pump and starter motor problems; caught up with him as I was leaving at 5ish and he was pretty confident he had sorted it all and was fueling it up to head back out. Ryan's spent years building this and I'm glad he got out there and hope he's going strong tomorrow.

Cheers to Royce & Mr Beer for the rides this afternoon, the rain made it quite fun and geezus Royce's 32 is quick. Was a good arvo. I saw Mr Neckbeard AKA Rat loop it at CAT corner as I was leaving but he didn't do a post spin rage skid afterwards :(

I was out there in the black 1600 "FIVETEN", had a good day other than the second powercruise which was a 1.5hr wait for 3 laps cause a few assholes couldn't contain themselves from doing standstills.

was not me. managed to keep it on the black stuff :)

awesome weekend so far. pit pass sooooooooo good! having heaps of fun, lots of quick cars out there. having too much fun on skid tyres to worry about changing to good tyres. still had lots of good runs, managed a FnF re-enactment racing the Ferrari. lots of skids lots of passenger rides. Forgot how many people I promised rides when I finally got it running. good to see the imports sticking it to the V8s! Hopefully it stays dry tomorrow.

Awesome weekend! Managed to stretch my head bolts Thursday night, fix that Friday morning, break engine mount on Saturday afternoon and fix that Saturday night and then finally broke 3rd gear on Sunday afternoon.

Seen this being worked on all weekend, he took it out for Hour of Power and one lap in got towed off. What's the go with it, sounded angry as fuck as well.
Ryan built this car on his own with virtually no help and no experience he had a few dramers including a drum of off
fuel but he did get on top of it this arvo and had a ball.
It is also a very thirsty machine using a full tank in 2 or 3 laps (57l)

Pretty much spot on. He got about half a car length on me off the line, I gained on him slightly in the gear changes and he pulled on me while in gear. We crossed the line with about half a car length in it.

First time its done powercruise without any dramas. Mate was mis shifting 3rd a fair bit with the new tko600 box in it. Been trying to get him to change the turbo setup to something a little more current. The old turbonetics 80mm thumper is killer but just little sluggish getting onto boost

You're right actually. For some reason I walked out of the garage and saw it on the roof (and where it landed) and just assumed it was a drift.

Pretty easy to lock brakes at the Motorplex as well. Rollovers happen, rules are there for a reason no matter how inconvenient, same as CAMS regs that most circuit racers seem to have no problems following...

Let me tell you with the Datto, I wouldn't want to be relying on the brakes to pull it up in conjunction with the 4" cookie cutters on the front. The calipers and discs are pretty bloody small, not a great deal of room under 15's and the chute is my main "whoa" method which I would assume is the same for the Torrie in the video.
