Ever wanted a ride in a tarmac rally car, or wanna be rally car (mine)? Then this is your chance. Ever wanted to scare your better half silly? Then put them in a passenger seat and wait for the screams/deathly silence. Ask me how I know...actually don't!

No license required. Just sign your life away and strap in. This assumes you fit in the car, can belt up, wear clothes and a helmet. Not too hard.

Go to targawest.com.au for details. Event is at Tooday on Sunday 20th October. Pre-registration form is on the targawest website so you don't miss out on the day. I'd recommend that option!

Cheap and worthy donation of $30 per ride to the local Lions club, 100% goes to charity. Dunno if you can claim tax-deductable racing however.

Right, I'm off home to keep working on getting car running (as usual).

Update:

In addition to the above rally goodness, Supercars Perth will be there on the day (THIS SUNDAY) so you can go for a ride in a Lambo or Fezza for $30. Note these will be cruising public roads in the hills around Toodyay, not doing the tarmac rally stage.

So if tarmac rally passenger is a bit to hard for you (how soft are ya?) then maybe treat yourself/better half to a supercar ride. And all the money goes to charity, think of the children!

Looks like morning rain come Sunday, so that could be a bit interesting on the rally stage! There's something about rain and my car leaving the shed I think...

Would sign up for a run except I'm a bit portly for a standard sized race seat. Does sound like a bit of fun though.

Turn up. Bound to be a seat you'll fit.

The missus is in Bali this weekend and I'll be looking to keep my kids entertained.

This sounds cool.

The missus is in Bali this weekend and I'll be looking to keep myself entertained.

This sounds cool.

You meant to say this, right?

I kept myself entertained this morning by wheeling it out of the shed and it got away from me downt the slope and barked all the paint off the rear edge of the drivers door. Farking! I'll tell myself that the sill panels needed painting after 4 years of stone chips from hot R Comp tyres and that the door is just a bonus for the painter. Did I say Farking already?

Yea that's what I meant, Kids go spastic when locked in a cupboard.

I keep looking under my bed to see if I misplaced 100k so that I can buy your car.

Well, the day went well last Sunday. Word is $9000 was raised for the local Toodyay Lions Club, so that's a win. Good range of tarmac rally types out there. Nice and cool and mostly dry except one run was a little skatey in a passing shower. Gave my passenger some time to look at the road sideways that run...

Course looked simple enough on a map, but was up and down a decent hill, so was pretty good fun in reality.

Must have taken about 10 or so people for a blat that day, so was well busy. No one passed out/threw up/hit me, so maybe I need to push harder!
