knows its a long shot but does anyone have, or have access to, a 2.8L diesel hilux engine? 3L is the engine code and its from an LN106 hilux) chasing the engine with an intake manifold and thats it. have popped another head on my 2.4 and not going to throw more cash at the POS 2.4. have got a couple of quotes from wreckers ~$3000 for an engine, just hoping someone has one or knows someone with one. will be buying in 2 weeks when i get home from work
thanks

$3000 sounds about right mate. they are an expensive engine for what they are. ive been looking for 2 years and still can't find one im happy to pay for. i refuse to pay 3k for one

yeah im not overly keen on paying that much for one. but if it comes down to it i spose i will have to
keep an eye on gumtree. they do pop up every now and again

had one from a wreck, sold it for $400, runs like a dream apparently and owner has no issues.
LOL @ $3k price tag.
the only spare one I have now is in pieces.
hunt around for a wreck maybe?

Well found a 4runner off gumtree with a 3L transplant already done. Throw it over the pits and fit all my gear off my surf to it.
Cheers

Haha will get it done for about 4k or less if I can sell off parts from my old car. 1uz would cost a shitload more. Waste of money on a 25yo hilux
