So it should be... This is aimed to get people interested in Motorsport.
If you want track time, buy a silver membership with WASCC and hit up tuning days.

Obviously.
Was interested in trying a hill climb.
Kinda of a little counter productive imo.
I've got a l2 but haven't done other style events just track work.

I was there as an instructor. I had a couple of scares given to me but that was half the fun.
Got to ride in a few nice cars as well including the very nice bumble bee.
I also enjoyed taking a few people for rides in the race car.
Overall a fantastic day, it was nice to give back to the sport

Searched for generic motorkhana thread for this but looks like I hadn't started one. So i'll throw it here. NOTE THE DATE is this Sunday, not as per thread title.
Hi all,
this Sunday Sept 14 is a motorkhana practice day. It is being held at Wanneroo at the back of Barbagallo Raceway – on the Tiger Kart Club 'skid pan' area. For anyone that doesn't know, think roughly RAC skid pan in terms of size.
You can come and play ON THE DAY – no need to register before hand.
It is cheap as chips. Maybe even cheaper. $25 for a day of fun. Please try and bring correct cash as it's pay on the day.
Starts around 10am but you'll need to be there a bit before to sign on and go through vehicle scrutiny.
You can grab a one-day CAMS license (single event license) if you haven't already had one in the last year. Cost is also comparable to chips. Otherwise you'd need to already have a 'full' CAMS license. If you've never had a CAMS license before, Mini Car Club will fund your one-dayer!
More details are on the website, but essentially if your car runs, stops, and you're not in flip flops then you're good to go.

PS: regarding instructors from previous replies– i and other experienced drivers can jump in the car with you if you want. Just come find us :) Speak to C of C and they'll point you in the right direction.

Take some photos for me then Phil! Would love to hear some quality Fezza screaming action. Last time I saw a few at w'roo was at the Festival of Speed, but I missed watching them cause I was on track at same time. Yeah, I had it bad... I'm Tough Muddering, otherwise would have tried to get up the w'roo for a look see. Isn't the David Vizard seminar also on this Sunday at wroo raceway?

First post updated slightly.
Looks like morning sesh for the boys, arvo for female/WAMS.
Went down for this today and had a ball. Highly recommended doing one before you attend any track day as you'll find a lot of flaws in your setup, i found a few lol.
Two big crashes as well which was interesting.

I know the instructor that was in the Wrx, she was telling the driver to brake and he just kept his foot buried on the accelerator
Yeah, i found it hard to hear them through the helmets and windows down. Driver said she told him he was braking too early on his first run so must have not heard her and waited too late to brake the second time.
Dont know how the S2000 came off in the esses and ended up hitting barriers near infield pits either. Thats a long way to slide.

Was there also in the silver Evo 8...was the guy who got tools down to the pit lane for you. Did you manage to get the issue sorted?
Was kinda disappointed that my instructor was telling me to back off & take some crazy lines only to finish up and ask if my car was FWD. 2nd stint they sent me out without anyone shotgun...great fun but didn't really know my braking zones so played it relatively safe but still drove like a banana...had great fun making the AYC sort it out
the Hoonda got dropped off at the Mrs panel shop this arvo...poor bastard! Was due to lift off over steer coming out of the s's @ turn 4 i believe

Cheers heaps man for the tools. Pretty sure the BOV is stuck open a little as I have flutter now coming off throttle and i can hear air rushing out of the airbox.
It was actually better only having 15psi on the hill climb as the back end wasn't going to step out.
The braking points were not right, one of the instructors told me "you're going to have to brake way before them coz you got a lot of power" lol

nice meeting u Sack! Your car was entertaining around the autokhana! well done!
Was a good day, met a couple guys from here and had a blast on the track. the braking markers going into the basin and the final turn where WAAAY too late for anyone with decent power for sure.

I instructed in the afternoon for the WAM session. Was great fun and some great lady drivers around.
The lady that was in the WRX was very sore.
The cone setup is there as a guide and for safety, this is a try day and not a race day.
What I heard from the other instructors that overall there was some good drivers out there having a lot of fun.

I am not sure but I did hear that a girl in the afternoon went fastest for the day. Not sure what car.
18.96 for me. Tried the others but my handbrake was not locking up so just made my own course and clutched my way around haha

Yeah sounds about right, anything under 20sec was considered decent apparently. I did a low 19 as did one other in my group.
Good day, parts were badly organised but can't complain for the price.

Low 20's for me. Couldn't seem to crack a 19.
Was in the black 34 sedan.
