So I've got myself a flash new internet and I'm still recovering from my ACL injury which limits my outings, so I feel the need to get back into online gaming.

Just saw the gameplay preview for Titanfall, looks pretty fun, futuristic CoD/BF.
Anyone had beta access to see if it's decent to play? Thoughts?

From what I hear and watch on Twitch, this is going to be massive. (They allowed streamers to display it, so feel free to go watch some of it yourself on Twitch.com)

Very very smooth gameplay with no glitching or lag issues. People calling this a COD killer.

Not 100% sure what games you enjoy but this is a list of games suited to someone with a bit of time on their hands.

Been playing it for a couple days. Great game. Have a couple of extra keys but with them opening up the beta later today no point really. Bots need to be a bit harder but its good. Really fast paced and getting the hang of the titans is key.

Been playing it, already reached max level for beta (14). Have a K/D of 3.3, so yeah, it is really easy to get kills. It's fun but it just feels like a futuristic COD with mechs.

It runs a customized version of the Source engine but it definitely feels like COD. Even the map load screen and lobbies are similar to MW2.

The Titans are pretty cool. You don't always have to be in them once they are deployed. You can make them follow you or guard a certain area. Lots of free running, you can free run on walls or jump to higher ground etc. Weapons are ok, there is a smart pistol which has homing bullets which is a bit OP.

Maps are a little bigger than a standard COD map but more vertical.

Oh and there are also AI controlled grunts. They're weak and easy to kill but they add to the war atmosphere.

Been playing it. Pretty damn fun. Very COD like with all the layers of adjustment in loadout and abilities. Runs smooth as fuck unlike most recent games.

You get a fucking mech for fucks sake. There is NO reason not to play this.

Was just gonna mention, apparently the beta as it is, is only running 1/4 resolution textures. To keep the download smaller. So it will look 4 times better once it's in it's final stages haha

Game runs smooth as silk and graphics are much better than you would usually expect in a beta. I think this game has massive potential but no PS support will mean it wont be a COD killer

It runs on a modified Source engine.. The same engine that made Half Life, Counter-strike, Team fortress, Portal etc

It feels like Cod4/5 with mech and parkour, would be a good competitor to the COD franchise

I got one of the publicly listed ones off Twitter, it was used already, then sent an email to EA support saying the key I'd been given was used.
Bingo, new key within hours.

Just make sure you specify you platform properly when going through help links.
Alternatively get an xbox key and email support saying you got sent the key for the wrong platform.

Tested out the xbox one beta this morning. only had time to do the training sim but love how the game flows so well.

Does seem a little easy at the moment but i assume it will get harder as you progress. Stronger enemies and such.

No doubt multiplayer will be epic if they have servers allowing as many players as BF4

Played a little this morning, started trying to play with gamepad, aiming sucked.
Then starting to play mouse/gamepad together, seemed much better but just need to setup hot keys on my G700.
Not sure if I want to go back to keyboard/mouse combo.

As above, I think bigger teams would be good, even a lowly 16x16 would be fantastic

Very stoked at hitting ~60ms ping on Asia servers.

AI difficulty not changeable in beta. No idea for the full release but doubtful as every player would need to have the same setting in multiplayers

If they just had that the host could decide the difficulty would be good.

Set them on extreme and have a challenge.

I picked it up the day of release with the limited edition controller. next day sliced my thumb open on an engine cover and couldnt pick up a controller for a week.

Absolutely love it but only downside is I have vivid Wireless at home. never had a problem with lagging games before but starting to have a few hiccups now and then...Might be time for a change in ISP before the controller ends up threw the window
