Hey all, I am back again this year helping out with Racewars 2014 and would love to have as many Antilag people as possible volunteering with me.
This would suit those who are either accompanying entrants or just want to be a part of the event.
Benefits:
· Accommodation,
· Lunch provided by WA Spit Roast,
· Racewars 2014 tee shirt,
· Water bottle, and
· 1 x ticket (per shift) Volunteers After Party
Accommodation: Shared accommodation at the Barracks for the weekend
After Party: An American style slow cooked barrel BBQ banquet (A Tristan special)
Shifts: Approx. 4- 5 hours long and limited to 1 shift per day
Job descriptions;
· Competitor gate: 7-11am Saturday & Sunday- Ensure that only competitors come through and direct all other patrons to the spectator gate.
· Spectator gate: 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm Saturday & Sunday- Check entry list and wristbands, marshalling cars and giving directions to parking area, ensuring patrons have wristbands if they wish to pass out.
· Start marshal: 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm Saturday & Sunday- Located at the start line, sending cars down the airstrip once clear, keep cars moving where possible, ensure drivers/ passengers are wearing the appropriate safety gear.
· Breaking zone Assistant: 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm Saturday & Sunday- Located at the end of the strip, ensure the end of the track is clear of debris and that all cars clear the track.
· Traffic warden: 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm Saturday & Sunday- Ensure safe traffic flow where pedestrians cross.
· Merchandise stand: 10am-4pm Saturday & 9am-3pm Sunday- Sell Racewars merchandise and arm bands for passenger rides.
