I've been a bit lazy with the build logs lately, skipped one or two of my builds completely. I'd like to claim I was "too busy", but in reality I'm just a naturally very lazy person :)

Decided this one deserved a log though for a couple of reasons - one being there's not a lot of info on this case out there yet, and the other being I managed to fit a 171mm cooler in a "160mm max" case so people should probably know that it's possible.

I'll go ahead and lead with a couple of photos of the finished build.

Specs:
Nanoxia Claw case
i5 4670K
Phanteks PH-TC14PE Orange Edition cooler
Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3
16GB (2x8) G.Skill Ares 1600MHz
Gainward GTX 770 Golden Sample 2GB
Corsair CX600M
SanDisk Extreme II 240GB SSD
3TB Toshiba 7200RPM HDD

OCD moments:
Changed front fans out to BitFenix Spectre Orange, swapped the Claw stickers over from the original fans even though they are only visible from inside the case
Decided the Spectre fans weren't orange enough, unwired half the system to dig them out again and swap the originals back in
Braided/twisted those GPU power cables no less than 4 times before I was happy with them

So there it is - my first orange build! I was worried about this because from everything I have seen orange is a tricky feature colour to pull off. "Tricky" has never stopped me trying something stupid before, and I'm glad I did - this gaming tower looks stunning.

Feedback welcome as always.

Very stunning tower indeed. I think the black and orange theme looks very nice. Those white L.E.Ds also add that extra showroom touch!

Thanks. I'm a big fan of those NZXT LED cables. Real neat things and they do make a huge difference to the final presentation of the case - for $25 I see great value in them, so I use them quite a bit. They also come with a handy little PCI slot-mounted control panel with an on/off switch and brightness control so if they piss you off at night you can shut them off.

haha thanks man! I tend to do things 50million times until I'm happy with them.. meaning I spend WAY too long building each of these things for the money I make off them, but I'm happy with that. It's therapeutic :)

Looks awesome dude.

What would something like that cost??This one was bang on $2000, only $80 of that ended up in my pocket for putting it together, the rest was all parts (and freight on the parts).

Thats a lot cheaper than I expected.

I know who to come talk to when I need a desktop built.

I'd be happy to help you out. Always on the lookout for more builds to keep me busy in my spare time (although I should really be working on VN #2's engine transplant..)

I'm in Townsville at the moment but will no doubt be back in Perth eventually, and in the meantime freighting systems is entirely possible. Come to think of it, should have made it more public that I had a long break over Christmas - I could have organised to do a few builds for people while I was there. Maybe next time I'm home on leave I'll throw up a feeler post on here and see if anyone's thinking about a new tower.
