Hey guys, recentley purchased a second hand D40 Navara has a few baisic factory extras but looking at a couple more things to make it a bit more versatile offroad.

Currentley has:
Bullbar
Spotties
Snorkel
Canopy
BFG All-Terrains 265/16/75 i think

Next I'm wanting a lift kit, have seen a few around and want something half decent but not top shelf.

So Question, WHat brands should I be looking at and where can i get the best prices.

Car does alot of freeway driving with the occasional 4x4 out bush and on the beach. Along with towing the cressida here and there. I feel I'm better off getting a kit with replacement leafs and i wouldn't be surprised if mine have sagged a bit over the years and with the constant weight of the canopy.

Secondly anywhere locally i can source some underbody bash plates? Probably just get the ironman ones but wanting to see if a member on here can source at a better price ect.

Any other Mods should I look into or will the above be sufficient enought for an ametuer?

Am too looking at bash plates, yours spanish or thai ?
I've been looking at the ironman kit, but think they only do it for spanish.

the first 3 letters indicate which build it is, and means which parts you can get.

MNT = Thai
VSK = Spain.

Get some sliders made, they have a long wheelbase and clearance isn't great so look after those sills, hayfab in Perth does them for a d40, I used mine a fair bit of road, I was going to fit 33s for a bit of extra clearance once my 32s were due for replacement but ended up trading it in earlier this year.

get something to protect the radiator, peoples are always driving into something braking the bottom mount pins off draining all the coolant and getting stuck miles from no where.. They just seem to hang out in the breeze

ive fitted outback offroads bash plate kit for D40, the place that makes the xrox bars in jandicot. From memory suits Spanish and Thai models however depending on the chassis you get to use pre-existing captive nuts so it bolts up easy as or you have to insert nuts on wire in cavitys in the chassis. Basically its a big sheet of 3mm steel. NFI how much they are but no doubt a shit load cheaper than ARB. Was a pretty simple kit and design.
