With the Australian GT series shaping up for a great year with lots of new cars and the ability to run GT3 spec cars as well.... certainly looks like they may be poised to become more popular than V8SC/SC in the near future. Especially if the supertaxi's don't get their next car formula right.
Bathurst 12 H gaining in popularity and the political shenanigans that went along with that to prevent the well know V8SC drivers from competing this year....
with cars like this (amongst other well know marques) it really is pure car porn ......

Yea they will get great coverage from the new Fox deal that shows all support races LIVE so no surprise entries are up , way better then previous years FTA coverage some 4-5 weeks after the event :P

crash and they are banned.... for now...although they need money so I doubt it will last for long.
"German authorities have placed a temporary ban on GT3 machinery from taking part at the Nurburgring Nordschleife following a tragedy which claimed the life of a spectator."

Having driven the behemoth road going version of this Bentley conti GT3 racer it truly is amazing that they get the weight down from 2300 to 1300 kg.... they are preoperly quick in road spec for something so large and and they look the business when they were circulating around the mountain..

James Moffat is the latest V8 Supercars star to sign-up for an appearance in the Australian GT Championship’s Phillip Island 101.
The 30-year-old will co-drive Kevin Weeks’ Supaloc Ford GT at the May 22-23 Shannons Nationals event.
Moffat joins a 37-car field that will also include defending race winner Garth Tander (Tony Quinn McLaren) and Kiwi Andre Heimgartner (Simon Ellingham Porsche).
Nissan Motorsport star Moffat was tipped into the drive by close friend and Holden Racing Team co-driver Jack Perkins, who had to decline an offer to steer the Ford.
Moffat says he’s thankful to Nissan for allowing him the opportunity to make his GT3 debut, six years after moving to V8 Supercars from the Porsche Carrera Cup.
“I’m looking forward to experiencing one of those style of cars for the first time,” Moffat told Speedcafe.com. ref: http://www.speedcafe.com/2015/05/07/james-moffat-to-race-ford-gt-at-phillip-island-101/
