Guys as the weather is changing wanting to see what tyres guys are using on the track in the wet??

In the dry I`m using r888`s but want to get something of the wet.
I`m thinking of using a good street tyre with deep grooves to move the water , just dont know.
In 15 or 16 inch

Input is great , Thanks!

How wet you talking. I just run the same r comps as in the dry. Has to be properly biblical before you have an issue.

R-Comps will be the best unless there is standing water, in which case any good street tyre will be fine.

I use the Continental 5P and they were good in the wet.

I compared the A050 and the Hankook RS3
i still rate the RS3 handles way better in wet.

As others said, in anything up to standing water, an R comp is the go. It's only standing water that will catch you out. For more grip select a soft compound.

Well, for mine it don't matter what you use in the wet. Any decent track car should be trying to kill you on a dry track...never mind when it's wet.

If your car remains competitive when it's wet you need to:
1) Get more power
2) Reduce number of axles driven
3) Both

Agree with Julian, I don't even worry about trying to drive in the wet and I have a full set of hand grooved slicks

Run 050's here and in pissing rain at targa sw last year they hung on fine. Standing puddles will make any tyre useless.

So you're not going to run an LSD diff any more? ;)

No more than two driven axles then?

When it rains in my area, plenty of single axle warriors come out to play - using 2 in such conditions may be disastrous. Then the mating call is heard and more warriors join the chorus. MANG MANG MANG. Nature can be amazing!

Can't be a coincidence that rain = single axle action........

Single axle is the new single pegger.

I ran Pirelli P Zero corsa's a few times in the wet ... Worked a treat
