How to remove stains in paint

Hi Guys,

I have some bore water stains on my car that I want to get rid of.

I have tried to use some polish (nufinish) with a buffing machine which has worked to an extent, however there are still some stains on the paint work.

Was going to try and use a cutting compound with an orbital buffing machine to see if that works but thought I should ask to see if this is the best approach?

Can anyone recommend a good product to use?

Have used de-solv-it (citrus type cleaner) on bore stains before on a variety of items. Have used on powder coat window frames as was ok. Never tried on vehicle but test some first.

Once you get rid of the stains a regular paint spray on type quick polish and rain-x for windows in enough to keep the bore water stains away (what I do on my vehicles that get bored')
