Yes I've played lots of both and previous forza's. The only thing that PCars over forza is the dynamic weather and day/night cycle. Obviously forza's tuning has changed a bit and isn't as in depth as PCars. It's a nice changed being able to control oversteer and power slide cars out of turns. The game feels great and haven't had or noticed any major glitches or bugs and I've probably played 30 hours of it since late Thursday. The Puddles on the racing line will bug you but you learn to drive around them. 24 player lobbies are working smoother then any PCars multiplayer lobby I ever went in.

I did so with the second Forza I think. Have never looked back. To be honest I have disliked GT ever since I started playing Forza.

Loving it so far, it picked up my username from ForzaHUB and gave me a free car for every 100,000xp I had earned in Forza 5 and in Horizons. So I ended up with about 10 bonus cars when I installed the game, then also got 12 bonus cars with the game itself.

Night and rain racing is great, loving the physics in the wet :)

Only fanatec wheel thats compatible is the clubsport.
~$1000 for the wheel base - 350ish for the xb1 adapter/hub, then you need an actual wheel/rim on top of that (plus pedals and shifter, however most of the older fanatec
pedals/shifters work with the clubsport base im pretty sure). Sure gets expensive quite quickly.

The pedal is much stiffer than the G25/27, but the issue you're having is probably more related to a Forza 6 specific game bug.

I did come across that thread the other day, however my settings are staying the same. I dropped the settings to 0 (inside), 66 (outside) for deceleration and it has helped. I'm just not liking the stiffness of the progressive spring. I thought about swapping the spring from the clutch but it would be too soft, so I purchased a set of 3 aftermarket springs from GT-EYE and will try using their clutch pedal as it will be a bit stiffer (albeit not progressive which I don't really care too much for).

One thing that caught me out was how the braking worked through the controllers. Initially I was hard on acceleration and hard on the brakes and kept getting pissed off when I inevitably slid off the track. I've got it down to an art now and am hitting all the apexi's.

Drag slicks, low rear tyre pressure. Soft rear suspension and hard front. I messed around with the tuning til I got it right.

Works better with cars with no weight over the front like the VW beetle.

Good for lolz on online races.

Been back in the online drift lobbys again the last few days, Some of the top guys are amazing the scores they get.

So been playing around heaps with different set ups, V8, V8TT, V8 S/C, Turbo 6, Rotor etc.
Worked out V8TT seems to give the most linear power without that sudden snap that unbalances the car mid transition. Was using a GMC Syclone ute with about 900hp and usual mods coilovers, diff, swaybars. Could just sit in 5th gear on every track and just on off throttle but the problem was not enough angle so while speeds were high the points were low.
Started experimenting with different cars, M3 Twin Turbo, RS4 Wagon v10 turbo, Volvo S40 LS1 twin turbo, 180sx LS1 twin turbo. All drifted awesome but still no big angle.
So tonight I modded up a Buick GNX, 7ltr twin turbo conversion but this time modded the suspension differently. Rather than slam it, bulk camber, toe and big wheels and rubber I lowered it, kept the 16" rims, -1.5deg camber, -0.5 on the rear, 0.5 toe out front and back, kept standard "race" spring rate but lowered the bump rebound to almost the lowest possible setting, locked diff then headed to test track.
Success!! can sit in 3rd gear with huge angle and the points just rack up!! It seems the bump rebound seems to be the key to getting a good controllable drift going.
Back to the drift lobbys and I am finishing top 3 on all tracks, with points usually up in the 140k range. Smaller tracks like Rio and Hockenheim school track I am able to link the entire track racking up 30-40k points a lap!!

Yeah I am sure there is more in it, when I have some more time I will start playing with some other settings. Can be a drawn out process at times, need to be able to bust consistent laps with a setup before can make changes to actually see what effect they have and that it wasnt just a fluke. Good fun tho.

I have my pre order in but i am going to run it on my existing xbone and not the worry about the new one.

Just on the pre order... If you try to order online JB's wont let you pre order and then collect in store so you have to wait until after the weekend for it to arrive. EB on the other hand make you put a $30 deposit down and pick it up in your nominated store.

Picked it up on day one. Went to load it on Friday night. Clicked ok to 60+gb of downloads and went to bed.

Finally sat down this morning to play it. Dynamics in the wet seem far more realistic. Surprising amount of grip which i have always found in real life so long as you brake in a straight line.

I'm not one to devote hours and hours to it but every now and again i will pull it out. Still very keen to get a proper sim. However not so keen to drop $100k on one.
