Wedding DJ

Hi guys Figured this would be the right place to put it.

My wedding is a little over a year away now and I have been put in charge of finding a DJ.


Venue is in Margaret River April 8th 2017. I am happy to supply accommodation for the night and help setup before the wedding. All food and drinks (to an extent I don't want a maggoted DJ half way through the night) will be supplied.

Has anyone got any recommendations or are willing to do it. and what sort of cost I'd be looking at?

Reception will be about 5 hours I'm guessing from 6pm to 11pm.

I'm getting married the day before Australia Day and our DJ/MC has been awesome to deal with so far. It's costing us $1290 but that's for a reception in Perth. He's not cheesy at all and has a good sense of humor and a great taste in music so I'll let you know how it all goes..

Was best man at a wedding on Saturday down here in Margs, mate booked Chris Murphy.....the Australian idol dude. Played acoustic covers for 2 hours then DJ'd for 4 hours. Was awesome.

He actually flew him and his brother and both their partners across - they are all musically gifted, but also great banter.
