G'day,

My brothers wifes brother has bought a mustang and sent me a query on the Herrod/Roush blower package he wishes to deploy the capital on.

I have never delt with Herrod, however they have a good reputation, can anyone confirm if they live up to the name or are they more like "other reputable workshops" which churn and burn blowers for HSV customers? any other recommendations for Melbourne workshops?

Another topic came up, on suitable motorsport clubs I see Winton and Sandown both have good drive days offered, however are there any other clubs he should be looking at for the motorsport fix.

Has no motorsport experience so generally advising against the blower, however was interested in it to learn the car, then the conversation came this far.

Cheers,

Sensible

Why not just buy the factory blower option and keep the new car warranty?

My TE50 has an old Herrod package, seems to be a good thing. With Herrod being fairly well regarded within the Ford community you still do get the odd "Herrod more like Horrid" comments. But I guess every shop has a few bad stories.

Their Roush package for the mustang seems pretty mental pumping out close to 900nm.

Herrod are like the formula tech of the Ford world, except they aren't shit.

Mick Egan from pitlane performance has a very good name in the Ford scene and is arguably one of the best tuners in the Ford business. I'm not sure where he's at with the mustang side of things but would be worth a a call.

Nizpro are also very very good but probably the only place that would be more spendy than herrods.
