just a question in regards to being pulled over last night
i was speeding a bit on roe hwy.. i honestly do not remember how fast i was going but was in a rush to get home as my car was dying and was like 2am in the morning with no phone.. anywho. i come off roe hwy and then turn onto kalamunda road.. no indication and sped a bit down there as well.. about 500m this bike has its sirens on and lights and pulles me over
he just walkes up ot the car witha pissed off look on his face and there is a silence. im like i know.. i was speeding thinkning he had only just spotted me but he had been following me since great eastn hwy bypass.. whilst i clocked up on other **** i had done wrong.. he said i was speeding and that i didnt use my indicator on a few occasions i didnt ask about what speed i was doing, nor did he mention it.
anyway hes got this attitude problem and starts picking on my p plates because the rear one is sitting on the parcel shelf and the front one is being displayed in the front window.. he tells me that by law plates are ment to be on the rear bumper and the front bumper and that what i am doing is a joke.
he then walks around my car and doesnt ask anything else and says u will see something in the mail for the indication and the speeding.. i didnt get any sort of ticket or anything..
dont they normally give you something or is this a scare tactic they do??
also is the p plate thing true.. i was told it had to be displayed in front and rear window.. nt teh bumpers :S

If it was just speeding then you wont hear anything again. Iv been told the same thing sooooo many times and now as soon as i here that i get excited coz i know that im let off even when i was doing 160ish through malaga.
Only once while dropping a burnout on James st northbridge out of anger i had a plain clothed cop jump out flash badge and he said i would get a fine in the mail and it did come (undue and excessive noise). But you can relax ,you wont hear nothing from it ,but pray you dont get him again

you may recieve 'VOI' status, i doubt it, takes a few complaints and repeat offences to get VOI but maybe he had it in for you.
once your VOI life becomes slightly more difficult so i hear.

Once you become VOI, easy solution is to get new plates.

that cop must have been a real wanker..doing you for not using indicators is low..

']NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER admit to speeding.
agreed - even if you were reply with "i believe i was doing just under the speed limit" - if you admit to it ur f ucked
i got done once for losing control and ending up backwards in the reverse flow of traffic. i was followed, told to pull over - just as the guy took my license i saw another guy at the shops across the road doing this HUGE burnout...so i told the cop "what he did is MUCH worse than what i was doing" he agreed and left me.
fine came in the mail about 2 weeks later after i had forgot about it - $100 and 3 points.

no need to take it easy, just be smarter... time and place is the key...
never had a traffic offense that ive been nailed for... and i drive pretty hard, just in the right places.

Reading this makes me annoyed...I got done for doing 72 in a 60 zone with absolutely no one around...and I was in the Festiva! I was polite and everything to the officers but I think my mistake was admitting that I may have been over, but I only say 64 (which was true). One demerit and a fine and its my only infringement other than a 107 in a 100 multanova fine.
I can't believe you guys get off infringements so much!

One of our clients had 5 points left on his license, he didn't indicate to leave a roundabout (was going "straight") and the cop behind pulled him over and did him for 5 points so that he'd lose his license.
The point being if they don't like you, you're screwed. The fact that you've lost your license before, they may choose to come down harder on you. And you only have 3 points left this time??? Can I say slow learner....
