Has yours been going mental for about the last week? Keeps asking for a monte carlo biscuit, says ah that's a good pill, says "shot" about 3 times in a row & a couple of things I've heard but haven't been in the same room.
I thought it was just for the VB series, but is there something inside that will continuously react with the boonie & the TV??

Think a mate of mine's got a Boonie Doll as well. Might ask him if it's acting up.

talking boonie and table tennis
Posted on 01.18.06 by bonfire @ 11:34 am
Im one of those suckers who sent away for a talking boonie. apart from last nights game which i didnt watch ive heard him chattering away, asking for a beer, telling me he likes nachos and asking if i want a game of table tennis.
So instead of watching cricket last night i was listening to music, specifically buster browns ’something to say’. whatever frequencies boonie is programmed to respond to are present in angry andersons voice.
Boonie was exclaiming ‘nice shot’ with regularity while those musical sharpies strummed on.
Tonight i’ll play some rose tattoo and see what else he says.
and of course, as soon as the vb series is over, im opening the little plastic guy up.
Has anyone compiled a list of his utterances ?

Don't worry they've started talking all over again. A few people rang talkback radio about it and they got someone on to explain. Basically they were designed with a non-talk phase or something for after the VB Series in which time the battery was meant to have run out. This phase has ended and some still have battery life apparently, meaning they are still going and seeing as they react to frequencies or something, anything could be setting them off I guess. Personally I think they are one of the greatest marketing schemes ever.

About 2 hours ago Boonie was going mental, for a full 20 minutes he was going on. Told me today's codeword is legend, asked when we are off to the pub, challenged me to a game of table tennis, asked for some nachos, asked if I seen his beer, and a few other things thrown in at random too. I've moved him away from the tv now.

I just could never justify buying a carton of VB. Even if it was for a Boonie, or Merv, or Marsh.
