getting Holden VE rims (need help)

hey guys im buying a set of ve ss 19s and i heard you have to drill them out or something because of the stud pattern. Can some one tell me if this is true, or what you have to do to make them fit.

    cheers

im pretty sure its an offset difference not PCD.

saying that, theres the copy VE GTS rims that are the right offset... but saying that, do you want to risk using copies? ive heard they are prone to faults etc

if it does require machining, hit up Alliance wheel repairs... they did my GTR rims for bulk cheap

Mate had his done, Hubs machined and stud holes drilled out cost him like $150 all up

I cannot confirm 100% if the hub centers actually where or where not..
But the stud holes where 100% machined something like the VE is 12mm and the post VE is 15mm or similar..

Dont touch the stud holes its not necessary at all. The VE studs are larger than the earlier ones so why would you be machining the holes to fit a smaller stud?

The centre hole has a lip on it that nees to be machined out to fit over the locator on the earlier commos. Some people use a file I used an engineering shop that charged $30 a rim.

I have a WH Statesman Daily

I bought VE SS 19" from:

    http://www.holmart.com.au/gmh_wheels.html

They machined it for me before shipping.

If you alreaby bought the rims follow BP-13B thread above.

Offset if perfect for the Statesman. I assume for commos and utes as well for that era.

If you want fast turnaround and a good job done use this guy. He is the only place we use at work as the others seem to have issues with scratching rims.

I can supply fakers if need be. copies of fords to fit holdens, vise versa, different sizes etc.. havnt heard ANYTHING about any failing. with center caps.

cheaper option, as stated above remove 3ml from center bore and use the stock 19ml nuts instead of the probably supplyed 22's, taper is different but doesnt make a fuck of diff.
