Explain? I won't pretend to be a history buff, particularly on the affairs of Nazi Germany, but fact is Hitler's leadership skills were exceptional. If one can convince millions of people - civilians and soldiers alike - that an entire race/religion is scum of the earth, then yes, an exceptional leader.

What makes Hitler a terrible human being is what he convinced people to believe under his leadership, and that's his downfall in the eyes of most.

I certainly do not condone what he did, but I do see it as acceptable for people to classify him as a good leader, based purely on his ability to lead.

Actually his "leadership" is what lost Germany the war. His mistrust for his Generals and Military officials lead to only him deciding that himself was the only one able to issue orders to troops (For example during the Normandy landings, German troops were not allowed to move to the beachfront to oppose the landings because he was sleeping and asked not to be awakened) Also the fact he was the one who didn't trust Stalin and ordered the invasion of Russia (Major factor in Germany losing the war)

His ability to lead was well graced onto the general uneducated population, but the educated and most military arms never came under his influence. How many Generals under Nazi regime were executed for "Plotting against Hitler", then look at the same for British generals under Churchill or American ones under Roosevelt those facts alone tell the story.

When you actually go through history books you will see how Hitler was at the shitty end of the stick when it came to leadership skills when you start comparing him to Churchill, Roosevelt, Lincoln, Gandhi, Mandela, Julius Caesar.

If you want to compare Hitler to other "bad men" of our times even Stalin, Mao, Castro and Khan easily come out on top.

Question, when did those of Jewish faith become a race by themselves? I thought Hitler targeted those of the Jewish faith? Anyone able to clarify?

My understanding was that Russia and Germany were to split Poland between them, most then were of Jewish faith (and some switched religion to try escape persecution). Or were those of Jewish faith just targeted along with Poland?
