    That milk one (didn't want to quote the whole pic again).

    Apparently;

    Lactose intolerance has become so common because we can substitute milk for other food during the winter. It is believed that in our history milk would often be used as a substitute for fruit/veges/crops when regular food sources that wouldn't grow (or would migrate in the case of meat) in the winter. Basically, milk would help us survive when other food wasn't available. So if you were lactose intolerant you may not have survived the winter, thus keeping the lactose intolerant population down.
