Fark that Session 88 is so bombed, but for 10k, i'd rather stick to the Demo 8.

Uh factory Specialized one. It's called an X-Fusion, but fitted with Specialized internals.

Has to go in for it's first service/checkover, They are going to pull it down and have a look.

Looking to get a new (second-hand) frame sand blasted and powdercoated...anyone know any places worth trying?

Only concern is sandblasting around the bottom bracket thread/pivots etc...

Tape it all up and you'll be sweet.

dont sand blast it way to harsh on soft metal.
Get it soda blasted that way there is no chance of damaging threads etc.

i had this issue with sandblast powdercoat around bottom bracket although i had taped it up still bled through best is to get an shitty bottom bracket leave it in there but not tight all the way leave a few mm gap so paint doesnt lock the bottom bracket in and when you undo it the paint doesnt peels off and all the threads leave a bolt in there with bikes having tabs sticking out for brakes tape that up otherwise brakes wont function well

Would the paint crack upon removal of the bolts and old BB though?

Well...frame has all been stripped down (I did a test build on Thurs/Fri night).

Just need to punch the bearings out of the swingarm and pop in an old BB and Headset.

Going to try a few places around work next week.

It's a 2006 Giant Reign frame, currently in silver - thinking of of white at the moment.....

    Noice ^^^

I'm thinking a flat bar roadie is next on the list for me.

Dropped the frame off to R&L Powdercoating in Ozzie Park today. $110 for a sandblast, prime and finished in pearl white. 2 week wait - which should work out alright as I intend on finishing my CRC older tonight for a few new pieces (XT parts, Ti bolts etc...). The old Recon 351 forks and Mavic CrossRide rims from my old bike will be going on, but will upgrade in the future.

CRC got some sweet deals going at the moment. I could spend a small fortune on sh*t (mainly SRAM X.0 Drivetrain) ... the new XX stuff is looking good though. I got a Fizik Gobi XM on order with them... should arrive in a few weeks I hope (dependent on others items being in stock)
