Only installed it 5 minutes ago hah. I'll be home in a few weeks with my bike - you're welcome to go for a pedal on it.

hey dude use a metal pick thats what i did if that fails take your bike to cyclerama on one of my bikes the boys used a tap did an excellent job to force the bottom bracket to thread if it doesnt want to give otherwise you'll end up damaging the the bottom bracket

Yeah. Not keen on writing off a new new SLX BB.

I grabbed some CRC Gasket stripper this afternoon - gonna give that a shot tonight. It actually has a huge warning label stating it WILL remove paint.

Failing that - I might have to get a bike shop to do it - might as well get it faced along with the caliper mounts and head tube at the sametime.

spray it on a rag first and rub inside the bracket... id hate for excess to run out and strip your beautiful new coating

can I ask what you paid for the frame? I wouldnt mind finding one and building it up slowly.

I got the medium beam with 2x 3hr batteries (in 2008). Love them. I want some intermediates for bars only and put mediums on helmet.

Yeah the guys I ride with run a wide set on the bars, and more thinner set on the helmet, gives an awesome set of light.

Was $380 from ebay + $40 postage via Aus post.

Figured the reign would be a good start for my first dually. One day I'll get a Blur LT or the likes

    Fark not bad.

Is a set of Juicy 3's, SRAM 7 shifters and derailers and a octolink BB for $300 reasonable? ... all new parts.

Yeah, I wasn't liking the silver with the stupid tribal decals and stuff on it...this its how it was originally...

Cost me $120 from R and L powder coaters in Osborne Park. Only fault is they got some of the coating on the bottom bracket threads. Ended up using some CRC gasket stripper - threads came up clean. Was thinking of getting a sheet of that 3M stuff that you put on bumpers to protect areas that get scratched easily.

$300 sounds alright for those parts. Just don't damage the brakes as Avid have discontinued the Juicy range and you cannot get spare parts as far as I know (still plenty of aftermarket crowds making pads and hoses though).

PM pgc, he might be able to sort some of that protective film out for you.

god that Reigns frame is pretty close to my Specialized !!!

I didn't know about the Juicy range being discontinued? I have 4's on mine, so i better look after them then. I actually like them quite a bit compared to my Deores

    Done

Still awaiting a few bits and pieces - so the existing stuff has gone on for now.

Need to cut down the brake lines as well.

Other than that - I am very pleased, despite the fact it is now raining and I have not been on a ride yet

Umm, sometimes. Usually depends on what pressure I have them set to and the rebound rate.

MMM, try chainreactioncycles.com or wiggle.co.uk. Both places generally work out cheaper (even with postage) than local stores.

Hmm. Mine constantly does is anything over an inch of travel. It's up getting the first service done, not sure whether to let them know or not. Guess they'll find out when they do a test ride
