My 2 cents: Channel 7/Today Tonight (especially)are a bunch of story mongering aids filled ass bandits. Watching there show at all makes me want to gorge my eyes out due to the fact they preach utter garbage to the general (and ill add inadequately educated) public.
Now I am new to antilag and I haven't been on any cruises yet (Because im driving a Subaru 2L n/a and TJ would probably rip me a new one) but more to the point that it seems the 'Hoon' stereo type seems to get tarred on many enthusiasts or anyone who seems to want to own anything other than a hybrid Camry.
I believe that the old saying ' People will only remember one bad incident rather than the 50 other positive ones' but I don't recommend the club lies down about this. Perhaps someone get in contact with the chaser boys? See if they aren’t willing to use the different media reporting skills?
May as well make a documentary.

If antilag has an ABN then the owner of that ABN needs to WRITE to the complaint office and lodge a WRITTEN complaint, along with possibly a WRITTEN letter of demand asking for a PUBLIC apology.

.9 cars got yellow stickers out at the gap on thursday night just gone. for just having there cars near people doing burnouts. and names of around 30plus people just standing there and the albany bunch of a Perth car club got blamed for this?? only because come of the cars parked have stickers?:shake:

Look, i am pretty new to this site but im still a member of it.
This is just a typical strive for a 5 minute filler on 7 news. Media has a tendency to blow even minor things WAY out of proportion... Im only 16, but i know that the media can be deadly.
For antilag... it has proved lethal.
How so? I saw it as free advertising. Those that care and/or understand the true intentions of AL knew that the report was all baloney, and those that look down upon us aren't "worthy of our time" anyway.
When you think that the web address was strewn all thru the report, your average Joe will go "hey, I got me that internet thingo, I'll check this out", only to be met with the very retort that is on the front page. There is always 2 sides to a story, and unfortunately AL doesn't have the same coverage as Ch7 to get the other side out there.
Realistically, if anything, it may have made the club that little stronger...
