Was great fun walking around and everyone chippin in $$ to go down the servo and but 20ltrs of deisel to pour over the lower carpark. Burnouts all night till the cops came. Chucking bottles at the paddy wgns etc then off to kings park fountain carpark for skids. 300 cars on some weekends

I've still got my old photos/videos from the last year when Scabs went off.
People holding up "do a skid" signs and oil/water down on the road in the lower carpark. Some dude in a yellow panel van got arrested that day, and the cop almost broke his leg when he jumped from the upper to lower carpark.. I'll never forget that day. It was the last summer that Scarborough was fun.

I remember Claremont Speedway as well. Quality complaints from the new residents who moved house next to the showgrounds only to whinge about the noise.
